Brian R. Barcaro - Co-founder and Partner
Prior to founding the Company, Brian served as Director of Catholic Development & Alumni Relations at The Pennsylvania State University
for the Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown. Previous to his work in State College, he served as National
Marketing Director for Cyberdyne Inc. in New Eagle, PA. He has worked in the past on user interface
design as well as online marketing and affiliate integration and development. He received
his J.D. at Duquesne University School of Law. He attended The Pennsylvania State University and California University of
Pennsylvania, from where he received a B.A. in Communications and was a member of Phi Kappa Delta.
Away From Acolyte: Born and raised in Altoona, PA he has long been a devoted Penn State fan. During the fall he can be found
tailgating outside Beaver Stadium before home games, which he began with his father and grandfather at the age of six. Not one for change, he has sat in the
same seat since he was 12 years old. When not at Penn State games Brian enjoys playing fantasy football, working out,
spending time with his nieces and nephews, reading about finance, politics and theology.

Jason M. LaFosse - Co-founder and Partner
Prior to founding the company he served as Senior Applications Developer for Marconi Communications in Warrendale, PA. He had previously served as an Internet Applications Developer at Fore Systems and webmaster for a
large non-profit Catholic organization and also worked as an independent Web Development Consultant for companies in
Pittsburgh and New York City. Jason received a degree in Industrial Electronics from Worcester Technical Institute.
Away From Acolyte: He married to his wife Michelle in 2000 and they have three children Genevevie, Xavier and Isabelle. Hobbies
include playing guitar, gardening, foosball and looking for land.

Michael W. Lloyd - Co-Founder and Partner
Mike has been designing and developing software professionally
for the past six years, most recently serving as the E-Business Development Manager for Marconi Communications in
Warrendale, PA. Prior to that, he served as an Internet Applications Developer at Fore Systems. Mr. Lloyd attended
West Point Military Academy and Geneva College. He received a B.S. in Electrical Engineering/Computer Science from
Geneva, summa cum laude.
Away From Acolyte: Mike married his wife Melanie in 1998, and they have three sons, Dylan, Caleb and Blake, and he is
most often spending time with his family. A man of the outdoors at heart, when Mike’s away from the computer monitor, he can
also be found skiing, snowboarding and fishing.

Joan Bettinger - Customer Service
Joanie handles the approval process of completed profiles for the members of 4marks and Catholic Match.
Away From Acolyte: “Joanie”, as she is called by her friends, modestly describes herself as “a cradle Catholic, art-school dropout and single mother of one.” She loves the arts and outdoors, and has a strong interest in natural health nutrition and education.
Joanie joined Catholic Match as a member in the spring of 2001, and began working for Acolyte in 2005. She home schools her son and enjoys doing a job that directly that directly impacts culture and her faith.

Diane Devens - Office Manager
Diane is the one who keeps the trains running on time at Acolyte. She has lived and worked most of her life in the Pittsburgh area, save for a period in which she worked in sales for a large chemical manufacturer near Philadelphia.
Away From Acolyte: Diane is a novice in the Secular Franciscan Order and enjoys being with her husband and daughters. She loves the outdoors and during the year, can be found skiing, boating, camping or fishing. She and her husband love to cook—or, as Diane would put it—“I cook and he eats!”, and refine the art of winemaking or just spending time together.

Dan Flaherty - Content Editor
Dan monitors web content for the 4marks network, including development of the online magazine. He attended Indiana University in Bloomington and UW-Milwaukee to get his B.A. in political science. Later, he earned certification as a paralegal, qualifying for the Dean’s List.
Away From Acolyte: Dan loves writing, and has published an Irish Catholic novel that achieved modest local circulation in 2003-04. He enjoys listening to Irish music, and is passionate about sports, particularly baseball and college football. He is proud to hold dual citizenship in Red Sox Nation & Big Ten Country.
Dan also retains a strong interest in political affairs, and his politics are a combustible mix of traditional Irish Democratic and contemporary Reaganism.

Jeannine Goelz - Customer Service
Jeannine works in content and customer support for Acolyte, supporting a variety of services within the 4marks network. From trivia questions to articles, Jeannine is a veritable treasure trove of resources for the 4marks community. She has a B.S. in Human Resource Management from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, and has done graduate work in Elementary Education.
Away From Acolyte: Jeannine is close to her Catholic heritage, and homeschools her two daughters. She enjoys spending time with her husband Bob and the girls. They can be found enjoying the outdoors, attending festivals and German children's choir events.

Leah Kraft - Customer Service
Leah ensures that the photos which appear on 4marks and Catholic Match meet appropriate standards of decency. She is a graduate of Millersville with a B.S. in Elementary Education.
Away From Acolyte: Leah loves being a stay-at-home mom with her daughters Meghan and Ann. In her spare time she enjoys scrapbooking and making crafts. She is married to Matthew Kraft, and together they enjoy spending time with their daughters.

Nathan Lloyd - Programmer
Nathan works on a daily basis dealing with security management, software maintience and development projects. Nathan is a strong programmer who excels in applications that keeps the 4marks & Catholic Match environments enjoyable for all. He has helped develop many features that have appeared on both Catholic Match and 4marks,
Away From Acolyte: Even away from the office, Nathan maintains close contact with the 4marks community. The message forums are the place with the soft spot in his heart and schedule, and Nathan has made numerous friends amongst the membership, many of whom see him as the visible link to the 4marks’ staff.
Nathan married his wife Liana in October of 2002. Together they enjoy traveling, hiking and making trips to the beach.

Bob Travis - Graphic Artist
Bob is responsible for the look and feel of the 4marks site and its constituent services. He attended the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, but is primarily self-taught in his chosen field.
Away From Acolyte: Bob has designed for many different media outlets, including print, web and television. His experience is both freelance and corporate, including a stint in the design department at the Giant Eagle grocery chain.
Bob married his wife Sherry in 1998, and enjoys playing guitar, writing music, bowling and going to movies. He believes in the therapeutic power of laughter, and is known for his off the wall jokes, saying “Humor has been a great vehicle to help me enjoy life.”
